The Managing Contractor Contract templates provide for the involvement of the contractor at an early stage of the project.
The contractor is primarily responsible for the planning, design and delivery of the project, including the engagement of approved subcontractors for major works, medium works and design services.
The contract price comprises both lump sum components and reimbursable costs. The contractor has an obligation to ensure the contract price does not exceed the target cost and to achieve completion of the works by the specified target dates.

The Schedule of Collateral documents consists of supplementary templates that are referenced within, and are required to be used under and in accordance with, the template Conditions of Contract. The collateral documents support effective contract administration, consistency across projects and reflect the Commonwealth's requirements in respect of the matters to which each template relates. They have been drafted to align with the template Conditions of Contract and are intended to be finalised on a project specific basis as indicated within each template.
