Defence is committed to supporting stakeholders in meeting their obligations under Australia’s defence export control laws.
This is achieved by making information available on the Defence website, conducting outreach activities, and participating in forums.
Awareness training
Training modules are accessible via Defence’s online learning platform (LXP: Global). To find the relevant training, search for ‘Navigating Australia’s Defence Export Controls Framework’.
Outreach program
Defence hosts virtual and face-to-face information sessions across Australia for the industry and the higher education and research sectors. These sessions aim to provide an overview of the changes that are occurring to Australia's Defence Export Controls framework and how industry can comply with the new Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024.
Defence held 10 national outreach sessions from July – September 2024, an introductory information session can be viewed at the Australian Academy of Science website.
Upcoming events
Virtual sessions are available for some outreach events. For a more comprehensive experience, including a questions and answers component, attending in person is recommended.
