Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group hosted its inaugural Industry Digital Engineering Engagement Forum for 2025 at the Avalon Airshow, bringing together small to medium enterprises and prime contractors from across the Defence industry.

The Director of Digital Transformation and Systems addressed key topics, including:

• the drivers for change
• the digital engineering transformation effort
• implementation strategies
• focus areas such as workforce and culture, digital modelling and data, and innovation and environment.

Since the release of the Digital Engineering Strategy in July 2024, this forum provided stakeholders with valuable updates on progress and recent developments. The event also offered an important platform for industry to engage directly with Defence, exploring how digital engineering can transform Defence capabilities and shape future initiatives.
