The Defence Digital Engineering Strategy will transform the way Defence designs, develops, and sustains equipment for the Australian Defence Force. The strategy outlines Defence’s commitment to streamline and contemporise processes, leveraging revolutionary technologies, increasing virtual simulation, and applying a data driven approach to meet the emerging needs of Defence.
The outcome will see increased collaboration with industry, better decision-making, and faster speed to capability across the Australian Defence Force, allowing for an integrated, digital, and model-based enterprise that connects people, processes, tools, and data; across an end-to-end digital enterprise.
With the strategy’s release, Defence will commence extensive consultation with industry to develop a comprehensive understanding of digital engineering practices and identify opportunities for innovative collaboration.
