The Base Services Transformation Program has designed and procured the 4th generation of Defence base services contracts. The program is now in the transition phase, with Defence and Industry working together to ensure the Defence estate is sustained to support current and future Defence capability.

Defence sites are a critical combat enabler. Base services contracts ensure Defence bases and training areas are safe and secure, and support people as they live, train and work on the Defence estate.

Procurement outcome

The re-tender of base services contracts has concluded, with the award of the final contract packages on 11 September 2025.

Contracts are for an initial six-year period, with extension options of between one and 3 years, to a maximum of 10 years.

Defence encourages small-to-medium, indigenous, veteran and social enterprises interested in being part of a sub-contracted workforce or supply chain for base services contracts to reach out directly to organisations listed in the table below.
