Defence released the draft Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulations for public consultation.
The consultation period from 2 to 30 July 2025 provided an opportunity for all Australians to share their views and remain informed on the development of the Nuclear Safety Regulations for Australia’s conventionally armed nuclear-powered submarine enterprise.

This report identifies the key themes received and how Defence considered these in the draft regulatory process.
