Defence recently released the draft Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulations for public consultation.
This consultation period (2–30 July) provided an opportunity for all Australians to share their views and remain informed on the development of the Nuclear Safety Regulations for Australia’s conventionally armed nuclear-powered submarine enterprise.
Thank you to all those who have engaged with Defence during the public consultation period and who have taken the time to provide feedback via a written submission.
The submissions are currently under review. We look forward to providing more information on the progress of the Regulations in coming weeks.
