About Team Defence Australia
The services previously available through Team Defence Australia have now been transitioned to the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC).
The Australian Government through the Defence and Industry Policy Statement 2007 announced the Team Defence Australia (TDA) initiative that aims to promote the export of Australian defence industry products and services to international markets.
TDA missions provide Australian defence industry with the platform and tools to showcase capability solutions through the coordination of exhibition stands at international tradeshows and targeted trade missions.
TDA undertakes these activities in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. Defence draws on the local and international expertise of Australian Government officials from Defence, Austrade and the Department of Industry and Science, and works with overseas Government agencies and multinational prime contractors engaged in the Global Supply Chain program to maximise the benefit of each mission to the Australian delegation.
Companies are selected to participate in Defence delegations based on their niche product offerings and proven track record in line with the technology focus of each event.
Companies participating in TDA activities have had success directly through sales, increase in international contacts and networks, introduction to key international decision-makers and enhanced international profile.
