Join the highly skilled Navy personnel providing support to the Royal Australian Navy’s west coast fleet.

2 Fleet Base East – Navy Sea Ride

Spend time at sea in a surface combatant or amphibious ship off the east coast.

3 HMAS Cerberus

Join Navy’s newest recruits as they undertake their initial recruit training and progress to specialist employment training.

Location: Mornington Peninsula, VIC

4 Naval Aviation, Officer and Combat Survivability Training

Engage with Navy’s emerging leaders as they undertake initial training and witness Navy’s aviation capability.

5 Exercise Bersama Lima

Experience life at sea and ashore with the ADF members exercising in a multi-domain defensive high-end war fighting with Five Power Defence Arrangements partners.

6 Exercise Keris Woomera

Participate in the largest joint military exercise between the ADF and the Indonesian National Armed Forces, focusing on amphibious, maritime, air, and land operations.

Location: Java, Indonesia

7 Rim of the Pacific Exercise

Witness the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise, with an opportunity to visit an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy.

8 Special Forces Integrator Selection Course

Join the School of Special Operations to gain an understanding of the e physical endurance and mental resilience required to become a Special Forces Integrator.

Location: Holsworthy Barracks, NSW

9 Exercise Chimera Walk

Embed with the exercise participants in the field, experiencing the same living conditions, providing a realistic in-depth view Army’s uncrewed aerial system capability.

Location: Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Rockhampton, QLD

Dates: Conducted between 13–23 April 2026
Participants: 4

10 Armoured Regimental Officer Basic Course

Witness firsthand the training and skills required to become the next generation of Royal Australian Armoured Corps Officers commanding a range of armoured vehicles.

Location: Puckapunyal Military Area, VIC
Duration: 4 day program
Dates: Conducted between end July – early August 2026

11 Exercise Pegasus Guns

Join Army’s rotary wing pilots and crews as they undertake essential training in aviation gunnery skills.

Location: Townsville, QLD
Duration: 5 day program

12 2nd Australian Division – Exercise Austral Shield

Participate in a large-scale training activity designed to rapidly deploy to Australia’s north and respond to domestic security threats to defend Australia.

Location: Perth, WA or Adelaide, SA
Duration: 4 day program
Dates: Conducted between 3–19 July 2026 Perth and 11–14 July 2026 Adelaide
Participants: 5 per location

13 1st Australian Division – Brigade Warfighter Exercise

Become a member of the battlegroup, experiencing the same living conditions, providing a realistic in-depth view of large-scale tactical actions at the brigade level.

Location: Darwin, Brisbane or Townsville
Duration: 5 day program
Dates: Exercises conducted between April and September 2026
Participants: 3 per exercise

14 Jungle Training Wing – Tully

Join soldiers as they participate in basic and advanced jungle warfare training in terrain typical of the South East Asia or Indo –Pacific regions.

Location: Tully Training Area, Tully, QLD
Duration: 4 day program
Dates: Conducted between 12–30 October 2026
Participants: 5

15 Exercise Arras Walk

Interact with a wide range of part time officers and soldiers providing reserve service as they conduct domestic security response tasks.

Location: Wide Bay Training Area, QLD
Duration: 5 day program

16 School of Military Engineering Demolitions Range

Join Engineers Initial Employment Trainees, learning about the effects of explosives on different materials in a controlled environment.

Location: Holsworthy Barracks, NSW

17 Aviation Support to Exercise Austral Shield

Join Army’s rotary wing assets conducting major air mobility operations in support of a tactical ground commander's plan.

Location: Townsville and RAAF Scherger, QLD

18 United Nations Military Observer Course

Participate in the United Nations (UN) Military Observer training to gain an understanding of the conduct of UN missions and Australia’s involvement as UN Military Observers.

Location: Canberra, ACT
Duration: This is a 3 day program
Dates: Conducted between 22–26 May 2026
Participants: 4

19 Defence and Strategic Studies Course

Become a student of the Contemporary Indo-Pacific Case Studies, focusing on key regions, countries and themes that are most important to Australia’s contemporary strategic environment.

Location: Canberra, ACT
Duration: 5 day program
Dates: 18–22 May 2026

20 ADF Chaplaincy College – Ethics Training

Join Defence Chaplains and Maritime Spiritual Wellbeing Officers undertaking the ethics of the conduct of war training module.

Location: Canberra, ACT

21 ADF Space and Cyber Domain – ACT based

Gain an understanding of the challenges faced in these rapidly evolving warfighting domains.

Location: Canberra, ACT

22 ADF Space, Cyber and Joint Logistics Commands

Gain an understanding of the challenges faced in these rapidly evolving warfighting domains and get hands on with the delivery of cyber and intelligence training.

Location: Adelaide, Melbourne and Canberra

Participants: 3 per activity

23 ADF Space, Cyber and Joint Logistics Unit Southern Queensland

Gain an understanding of the challenges faced in these rapidly evolving warfighting domains and get hands on supporting the deployment and sustainment of ADF personnel throughout Australia and overseas.

Location: Canberra and Brisbane
Duration: 4 day program

24 Air Force’s Officer Training School

Experience what it takes to be an Officer in Air Force at the Air Force’s Officer Training School.

25 RAAF Base Darwin – Exercise Pitchblack

Experience one of Air Force’s largest multi-national exercises from the inside with ADF and international exercise participants.

26 ADF Combat Survival Training / RAAF BASE Townsville

Get out in the field with Combat Survival Training School delivering a range of combat survival skills to aircrew.

27 Exercise Stoic Gauntlet (Integrated Health Effects)

Join Air Force’s Health Services Wing as they deploy on Exercise Stoic Gauntlet, providing expeditionary health care and aeromedical evacuation.
