Defence update on scheme water infrastructure for the Bullsbrook community

14 September 2022

Defence remains fully committed to providing scheme water infrastructure to properties in the RAAF Base Pearce PFAS Management Area in Western Australia.

Defence has received a strong and positive community response to the expression of interest for Bullsbrook scheme water connections in this area. The expression of interest process has now closed.

The community’s response enables Defence to design and build a scheme water network that caters for all West Bullsbrook properties where a connection is technically feasible. The detailed design process for the scheme water infrastructure connection has commenced and is expected to conclude in early 2023. This process will then inform a tender for construction works.

Defence will conduct a further community information session around RAAF Base Pearce before the end of October 2022. The session will provide opportunity for community members to receive the latest information on the project and ask questions.

The project team is available to speak with property owners on 1800 987 614 or bullsbrook.defence@ghd.com.

Further information on Defence’s response to PFAS contamination on and around RAAF Base Pearce is available on the PFAS Investigation and Management Program page.
