United States Air Force (USAF) B-52 Stratofortress Bombers have conducted training this week as part of Exercise ARNHEM THUNDER in the Northern Territory.
The B-52 aircraft trained with F/A-18A Classic Hornets from Number 75 Squadron over the Northern Territory Military Airspace.
This training increases the capability and preparedness of Australian and US forces to operate together seamlessly and to enhance security cooperation in the region.
The United States Air Force and the Australian Defence Force regularly conduct routine training together. The integrated program of combined training initiatives and exercises is of great benefit to both Australia and the United States.
Air Force appreciates the support it receives from the Northern Territory communities whilst conducting important training with our United States partners.
