Defence is monitoring an incident at the Marshal Fahim National Defense University (MFNDU) outside Kabul, Afghanistan and can confirm Australian Defence Force (ADF) trainers are based at the MFNDU as part of the NATO Resolute Support mission.
ADF personnel on the base took appropriate force protection measures and Defence can confirm that all personnel have been accounted for.
No ADF personnel were wounded in this attack.
ADF personnel supported Afghan Security Forces in their response to the incident, including the provision of medical support.
