Statement regarding ADF's fuel and munition supplies

Reports claiming that Defence is unprepared for possible future challenges are misinformed.

 Defence has sufficient fuel storage and munition holdings to meet its current needs. We also have access to additional fuel through existing arrangements with commercial suppliers and our international partners to meet surge requirements.

Preparedness is a crucial but normal part of our business which ensures holdings are regularly reviewed and available to meet contingency plans

Due to operational security requirements, Defence does not disclose classified details regarding exact requirements or holdings. These are, quite rightly, only known in detail by the dedicated personnel who are responsible for such matters.
