The Redcliffe Dolphins unveiled their Anzac Round jersey during a special launch event at HMAS Moreton on March 12, celebrating a unique collaboration between the NRL club and Navy.

Designed by Moreton’s own Petty Officer Gabi Bryan and Chief Petty Officer Natalie Stephens, the jersey draws inspiration from Australia’s submarine community, blending the iconic Navy 'Dolphin badge' with the NRL club’s well‑known dolphin emblem.

The result is a striking design that honours Navy heritage while connecting directly with the team’s identity.

“We decided to go with the submarine theme for the jersey due to the Dolphin badge and, obviously, the NRL Dolphins,” Petty Officer Bryan said.

“We finalised the jersey around December last year. It has been a massive process and eye‑opening, but it has been a great learning experience for something I’ve never done before.”

Dolphins CEO Terry Reader and team captain Tom Gilbert attended the launch, with Mr Gilbert proudly wearing the new strip for its first public reveal.

“The jersey is awesome. The Anzac Round for us as a club is probably the most important. We emphasise this at training during the build‑up to make sure we understand why we are wearing it. It is a great honour for us,” Mr Gilbert said.

Commanding Officer Moreton Commander Chris Unwin said the partnership reflected the shared values of service, teamwork and community.

“Anzac Day is a moment of national reflection, and seeing our members contribute to how that story is told on the sporting field is something the whole Navy family can be proud of,” Commander Unwin said.

The Dolphins will wear the jersey during the marquee Anzac Round clash against the New Zealand Warriors in Wellington, a fixture expected to draw significant national attention as Australians and New Zealanders commemorate service and sacrifice across generations.
