ADF Member and Family Transition Seminar

ADF Member and Family Transition Seminars can help you and your family plan and prepare for your transition to civilian life. You and your family are welcome to attend at any time during your ADF career. We recommend that you attend every five years during your career, and again in your final 12 months of service.

At the seminars you'll have access to information on:

  • transition support and administration
  • future employment
  • ADF Reserves
  • finance and superannuation
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs, and
  • veteran and family support services.

The ADF Member and Family Transition Seminar is delivered face-to-face across Australia as well as virtually through an online platform which is available 24/7 from anywhere in the world.

Face to face seminars

Due to ongoing uncertainty related to COVID-19, our face-to-face transition seminars have been postponed for 2021. We encourage you to register to attend our virtual seminar.

People who have registered to attend a face-to-face seminar will be contacted to advise alternative options.

Virtual seminars

Much like face-to-face events, at the virtual seminar, you can get information relevant to your circumstances by visiting our expo floor or watching presentations in the auditorium.

Virtual seminar ‘live days’ are offered so that you can interact with stallholders and presenters in a real time environment via a live chat function.

The virtual seminar remains available to you outside of the ‘live day’. This is called the static platform. In the static platform you can view recorded presentations and visit our stalls as well as collect and download information from your virtual show bag.

Registration

If you are a current serving ADF member and would like to attend a seminar, you must register to attend through CAMPUS.

  • For virtual offerings search “15234” on CAMPUS

If you have already transitioned, email the ADF Transition Seminar team at DMFS.Transitionseminar@defence.gov.au with the below details:

  • Your name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date and location of seminar you would like to attend
  • Dietary requirements (face-to-face only)
-->

We recommend that a member of your family or a support person also attends a seminar as there is a lot of information to absorb and they will also be involved in your transition process. Family members and support people may attend in a different location to their member.

Family members and support persons wishing to attend a virtual seminar can register directly on the virtual platform at: https://www.adftransitionvirtualseminar.com/en/registration.

For any enquiries regarding seminars contact - DMFS.Transitionseminar@defence.gov.au.
