Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC)

Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) looks after super funds designed specifically for current and former Australian Government and Defence Force employees.

As the administrator of the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Scheme (DFRDB), and the trustee for MilitarySuper (MSBS) and ADF Super, CSC has a long history of serving current and former members of the Australian Defence Force.

Scheme membership

Leaving the ADF

If you're medically transitioned from the ADF, you may be eligible for an invalidity benefit to help you meet your income needs in retirement, or while transitioning to civilian life.

Superannuation entitlements vary from scheme to scheme, and there is a range of information on the CSC website about what entitlements you have access to through your scheme.

ADF Member and Family Transition Seminars

Defence Member and Family Support holds free seminars throughout Australia on a regular basis, which includes a presentation on superannuation. Attending one of these seminars is a great way to learn more about your scheme.

More information

The ADF Financial Services Consumer Centre has developed the ‘Military Superannuation Schemes’ video in conjunction with the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation to provide you and your family with a general educational overview of DFRDB and MSBS.

Before making any decisions about your superannuation, you should obtain and consider a copy of the relevant product disclosure statement for your scheme or, in the case of DFRDB, the DFRDB Book, which are available on the CSC website.

You can also contact CSC if you have any questions about your superannuation. To find the contact details for your scheme, go to the contact page on the CSC website and select your scheme from the drop-down menu.
