Operation Augury

Defeating terrorism is in Australia’s national interest. Terrorists and other violent extremist organisations have perpetrated attacks in Australia and globally. Australia must continue to guard against the spread of violent extremism to the Indo-Pacific region.

Specific tasks under Operation Augury will generally not be publicly disclosed for operational security reasons.

Response to domestic terrorist threats remains the responsibility of the relevant state/territory Government authorities. Where required, the ADF will support authorities with specialised capabilities which may be employed through the Operation Augury.
