The Defence Seaworthiness Regulator, Rear Admiral Rachel Durbin CSC RAN, invites members of Defence industry involved in the maritime undertaking to join the annual Defence Seaworthiness Conference.
The conference is being held in Canberra and online – 3 July 2025, 9 am to 5 pm AEST.
Defence is evolving its maritime regulatory system to keep pace with the introduction of new capabilities and to make sure it remains efficient and effective in assuring seaworthiness outcomes for the integrated force.
This year's theme of 'Contemporary regulation for Epoch 2 and beyond' will explain:
- how the new system will fit into the broader regulatory landscape
- how it will support changes underway as a result of the National Defence Strategy
- the risks and challenges associated with changing a regulatory system.
