The Integrated Product Support (IPS) Policy establishes Defence's enterprise expectations and principles for the application of IPS across the Defence Capability System. It provides the policy foundation for integrating, managing, and assuring support systems throughout the capability lifecycle. This will ensure a consistent and enterprise-aligned approach to support system management.
The policy supports improved outcomes, assurance, and decision-making by promoting effective planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of support systems across Defence.
The policy does not change existing job families, contractual obligations, approved project baselines, or in-progress deliverables. Adoption should be practical and value-driven, leveraging existing governance arrangements to strengthen assurance, improve outcomes, and support alignment with enterprise requirements.
