Division 4 of the Australian Naval Classification (ANC) Rules applies to surface Naval Vessels less than 24 m length overall.

• Part 1 – ANC Rules: specifies the mandatory requirements that must be applied in the design of a Naval Vessel. It includes the goals, functional objectives and performance requirements for the vessel.
• Part 2 –  Solutions to ANC Rules: provides the technical standards, code of practice and classification rules.
• Part 3 –  Guidance to ANC Rules: includes guidance on the application of Part 2, verification activities.
