Occupational rehabilitation services assists Australian Defence Force (ADF) members to return to a state of readiness as soon as is practicable after injury or illness. These services are delivered via the ADF Rehabilitation Program (ADFRP).
Accessing occupational rehabilitation services is not dependent on a condition being work related or the existence of a compensation claim. A referral can be made by a treating medical officer, self-referral by a member, or by a member's commander.
The only eligibility criterion is that the member must be eligible for healthcare under the Defence Health Manual Vol 1 Part 4 Chapter 1.
Getting started
ADF members must complete the Referral for rehabilitation assessment form (PM546), and forward to the local rehabilitation team contact email.
