The Defence Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential coaching and counselling service. Support is available 24/7 to resolve work-related and personal matters.
Face-to-face, video and phone appointments are available.
Services provided by EAP include:

- Financial coaching
- Career coaching
- Conflict support
- Nutrition and lifestyle
- Legal Support.
Eligibility
EAP services are provided by Converge International and can be accessed by:
- Australian Defence Force (ADF) members within the following Service Categories (SERCAT):
- Members who are dual employed under a formal memorandum of understanding agreement – SERCAT 5 and 6
- Reservists – SERCAT 2 – 5
- ADF Gap Year Program – SERCAT 3, 5 and 7
- Australian Public Service (APS) employees who are force assigned – SERCAT 1
- ADF Cadets
- Officers and instructors of ADF cadets
- APS employees, including employees working within:
- Department of Defence
- Australian Submarine Agency
- Australian Signals Directorate
- Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator
- Supervisors and managers of the above.
- Immediate family members of the above, including an employee's spouse or partner, former spouse or partner, child (including adult aged children), parent (including a foster parent, stepparent or guardian), grandparent or grandchild.
