The Child of the ADF Medallion Program is a national program run annually to recognise the significant contribution that Defence families make to Defence capability.

Medallions are awarded to children who have shown resilience and growth in managing the challenges of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) lifestyle.

Eligibility

Children eligible for the medallion must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• be 18 years of age or under at the time of registration
• be a resident family member of a current serving ADF member in SERCAT 3-7 or SERVOP C.

Note: Medallions will not be awarded retrospectively.

Registration

Regional award ceremonies are held at various times throughout the year which provide the opportunity to register a child to receive a medallion. Registrations are via the ceremony event page when published on the Area Office events page.
