Emergency Support for Families Scheme

The ADF Pay and Conditions Manual provides specific details on the Emergency Support for Families Scheme (ESFS).

ESFS is short-term financial assistance provided to an ADF member's dependants in an emergency or crisis situation, which might include:

  • dependant care
  • carers travel
  • housekeeping.

ESFS can be utilised when the member is absent from home on duty, or unable to care for their dependants because of medical reasons.
