Luke Gosling OAM MP

Mr Luke Gosling is the Special Envoy for Defence, Veterans’ Affairs and Northern Australia and the Federal Member for Solomon.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in fostering reconciliation and furthering the National Agreement on Closing the Gap through the Defence Indigenous Development Programs
  • Assist with acquisition and sustainment projects, as directed
  • Assist with the Defence Cooperation Program, as directed
  • Defence and veteran community engagement through supporting events of ceremonial and representational significance across the Defence portfolio
  • Foster the development of Australian Defence Force Cadets and their community-based youth development programs
  • Strengthen ties between the community and the Australian Defence Force
  • Strengthening relationships and common understanding between the ADF and Parliamentarians by supporting the delivery of the Australian Defence Force Parliamentary Program
  • Supporting the implementation of the Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide
