Mr Jim Varghese AM was appointed to undertake the review.

The review was informed by a series of public hearings and stakeholder engagements with Commonwealth, state and local governments, affected communities, industry and academia.

Consultation was open to the public allow the review to hear from other impacted communities.

The Government will now take the necessary time to consider the findings of the independent review and its recommendations.
