Partial divestment
Community Information Session
Defence is holding a second community information session about the partial divestment of Swan Island. This is an opportunity for the community to speak with Australian Government representatives and receive an update about the divestment process, transition planning and next steps.
This session will also provide information on the divestment of Fort Queenscliff.

Functions
A golf club was established in 1913 on the western side of Swan Island for recreational purposes and has continued to be used for this purpose. Licensed to the Queenscliff Golf Club, this course operates 7 days per week.
This site is operated as a public golf course.
Government will engage with existing tenants as part of the divestment process.
Only the golf course and vacant land will be divested.
