Defence held an information session in Brisbane in April 2026 to engage with the community on the Defence Audit and divestment of sites. Community members shared valuable local insights and feedback with Defence. This feedback will help inform transition planning and next steps.

This training depot is located within the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus, approximately 3km south‑west of the Brisbane central business district and is used for Australian Defence Force Reserves training.
This site serves as office space and training facility for Army Reserves.

St Lucia Training Depot personnel will be relocated to Gallipoli Barracks, 11km away.
