Community information session

Defence is holding a community walk-in information session about the divestment. This is an opportunity for the community to speak with Australian Government representatives about the divestment process, transition planning and next steps.

Functions

Buckland Military Training Area is used for training and exercises. The vast majority of the site is owned by the Tasmanian Government under lease and licence to Defence.

This training area includes ranges, camping facilities and driver training areas.
