Community Information Session

Defence is holding a second community information session about the divestment of Buckland Military Training Area. This is an opportunity for the community to speak with Australian Government representatives and receive an update about the divestment process, transition planning and next steps.

This session will also provide information on the divestment of TS Argonaut, DSTG Scottsdale, Stony Head Military Training Area, and Youngtown Depot.

Functions

Buckland Military Training Area is used for training and exercises. The vast majority of the site is owned by the Tasmanian Government under lease and licence to Defence.

This training area includes ranges, camping facilities and driver training areas.
