Virtual Community Information Session

Defence is holding a virtual community information session about the divestment of the Atherton Rifle Range. This is an opportunity for the community to speak with Australian Government representatives about the divestment process, transition planning and next steps.

• Virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams – Registered participants will receive the meeting link and joining instructions a few days prior to the session.

This small arms range supports Cairns-based Army Reserves and wider regional units.

This site is used for small arms weapons training. Government will engage with existing tenants as part of the divestment process.
