Community information session

Defence is holding a community information session about the end of lease. This is an opportunity for the community to speak with Australian Government representatives about the end of lease process, transition planning and next steps.

Light refreshments will be served and the session will address questions related to multiple sites in Queensland, including:

• Wangetti Rifle Range 
• Atherton Rifle Range

Functions

This small arms range supports Cairns-based Army Reserves and wider regional units.

This site is used for small arms weapons training. Government will engage with existing tenants as part of the divestment process.
