Industry Programs

Defence provides access to a number of support programs for industry to access opportunities to do business with Defence.

Defence Policy for Industry Participation

The Defence Policy for Industry Participation helps maximise opportunities for Australian industry participation at the national and local level in meeting Australia’s Defence capability goals.

Australian Industry Capability

The Australian Industry Capability program helps Australian companies identify business opportunities in projects for the Australian Defence Force.

Centre for Defence Industry Capability

The Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) provides advice to the Australian defence industry, supports industry growth and facilitates innovation. Advice and support includes assistance with exporting and access to international supply chains through the Team Defence Australia and Global Supply Chain initiatives.

Industry Skilling Program Enhancement

Industry Skilling Program Enhancement (ISPE) consists of a series of initiatives (such as the Defence Engineering Internship Program and School Pathways Program) that aim to expand the pool of skilled workers from which defence industry can recruit, enhance work and career pathways, and address specific skills gaps in defence industry capability.

Priority Industry Capability

The Priority Industry Capability program identifies elements of broader industry capabilities that confer an essential strategic advantage by being resident in Australia which, if not available, would undermine Defence self-reliance and Australian Defence Force operational capability.
