This Division covers the conditions of service for a member after deployment for service on non-warlike operations for less than six months.
The Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Scheme (MRCS) provides comprehensive rehabilitation, treatment and compensation for members who suffer illness, injury or death as a result of ADF service on or after 1 July 2004.
The MRCS replaces cover provided by the former scheme for these cases. The former scheme is based on Veteran's Entitlements Act 1986, the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, and Chapter 11 Part 2, Additional military compensation.
However, cases resulting from ADF service before 1 July 2004 are subject to the former scheme.
For detailed guidance on compensation arrangements including the MRCS, see the Department of Veterans' Affairs website.
The Department of Veterans' Affairs provides additional information about military compensation and support for making claims. They have regional offices in all States and Territories.
Information is also available on the Defence Work Health and Safety website on the DEFWEB.
Application to Reservists: Yes, on continuous full-time service.
