With the rapid growth and evolution of highly complex technology systems, there has never been a more exciting time to apply your science, technology, engineering or mathematics skills and contribute to the creation of research knowledge and solutions within one of DST’s Major Science & Technology Capability research area.
Defence Science and Technology Group offers a 12-month graduate program consisting of two rotations across Major Science and Technology Capability areas within DST Group or more broadly in Defence. Applicants must have completed at a minimum a relevant science, technology, engineering or mathematics Honours degree within the last 2 years and want to further develop their research skills through a PhD supported by DST Group.
Research and Innovation Stream graduates will participate in a comprehensive tailored learning and development program that focuses on scientific leadership foundations, culture, and community to develop a deep understanding of the Defence science context and organisational strategy. This training is in addition any research domain specific training, conference attendances and familiarisation tour. It is expected that Research and Innovation graduates will further develop their research skills through a DST supported PhD within two or three years after the completion of the Graduate Program.
