Defence Graduate Program

In response to COVID-19, the Department of Defence is amending our 2021 Graduate Program recruitment schedule. The health and safety of Defence employees and our applicants is our priority. We also recognise that your focus, priorities and individual circumstances may have changed over recent weeks. Defence has extended our applications for a fortnight and we hope this extension will give you the extra time you need to submit your application. Applications for the 2021 Defence Graduate Program will now close at 11:30pm (AEST) on 18 April 2020.

ASSESSMENT CENTRES - INTELLIGENCE STREAMS

  • Assessment Centres for the Intelligence streams comprising Defence Intelligence Organisation (DIO), Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) and Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) will be conducted in the ACT only.

If you are invited to attend an Assessment Centre, you will be requested to undertake an online written task. Dates of the online written task are to be confirmed.

For interstate candidates, accommodation will be provided for two nights at The Vibe Hotel, Canberra Airport. Domestic flights or travel assistance will be provided if you reside in a regional area and/or further than 150km out of Canberra.

OFFERS

Position offers for:

  • Corporate, Capability, Policy, Research and Innovation, and the Navy Civilian Engineer Development Program offers will be made from August 2020 onwards.
  • Intelligence and Cyber Stream offers will be made from December 2020 onwards.
