What is the nature of your injury or illness?

Spinal, hip and ankle injuries.

What role has sport played in your rehabilitation?

Sport has helped me to develop my communication skills with social interactions. It has brought me new friendships and made me more involved in the community. It has also taught me new skills and discipline along with strengthening my body and alleviating pain from my injuries.

What is your greatest achievement to date?

Becoming a father to two amazing daughters.

Why did you apply for the Invictus Games?

To both challenge and push myself out of my comfort zone.

What will “winning” look like for you at these games?

To have made it this far and be selected to represent Australia is already a win for me. If our team brings back some medals along the way it’s an added bonus.

The person I most admire is...

People who get back up. We get knocked down time and time again and go through so much mentally and physically. I have met so many people along my journey who come back against all odds. They have an empowering attitude - I don't know if I could do what they have done. They inspire and encourage me every day.
