AUSMIN 2019
On Sunday 4 August 2019, Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne, and Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds hosted US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper in Sydney for the annual Australia-United States Ministerial (AUSMIN) consultations.
AUSMIN is Australia’s principle bilateral defence, foreign affairs, security and strategic dialogue with the United States. The consultations provide a major opportunity to discuss and share perspectives and approaches on major global and regional political issues, and to deepen bilateral foreign security and defence cooperation.
