The outcomes of the investigation have been used to develop a PFAS Management Area Plan (PMAP) that outlines the best management and remediation solutions for the unique circumstances at Pearce.
With the conclusion of the investigation, Defence remains committed to working with the community, and to continue being actively involved in the remediation and management of PFAS at, and around, RAAF Base Pearce.

PFAS Management Area Plan
The PFAS Management Area Plan informs the activities Defence will undertake to manage, monitor and reduce potential risks of PFAS exposure on, and around, the Base.
Ecological Risk Assessment
The purpose of the Ecological Risk Assessment is to evaluate potential exposure-risks to plants and animals, within the Investigation Area.
Human Health Risk Assessment
The purpose of the Human Health Risk Assessment is to evaluate potential exposure-risks to people, within the Investigation Area.
Detailed Site Investigation
The Detailed Site Investigation involved sampling of soil, sediment, surface water and groundwater to better understand how PFAS moves through the environment.
Preliminary Site Investigation
The Preliminary Site Investigation involved a review of the historical use of firefighting foams on-Base to identify potenital sources of PFAS contamination.
