Release of DASA Form 31, Form 31a and Form 31b
DASA wishes to advise that DASA Form 31 Notification of Major Change/Major Repair Design has been updated and two new Forms have been released: DASA Form 31a Application for Approval of Major Change to Type Design and DASA Form 31b Application for Approval of Major Repair Design.
DASA Form 31 has been updated to more closely align to the EASA Form 31 as an optional notification, whereby the applicant notifies the Authority of a Major Change or a Major Repair Design and initiates the dialogue that enables the Authority to guide the applicant through the process.
The release of DASA Form 31a and DASA Form 31b enables applicants to delineate between Major Changes and Major Repair Designs. DASA Form 31a is not optional and is the official application for a Major Change approval from the Authority.
DASA Form 31b is not optional and is the official application for a Major Repair Design approval from the Authority.
