CLARIFICATION OF NEWSBREAK ISSUED ON 06AUG2018 – EXTENSION OF JOINT DIRECTIVE 24/2016 ON THE DEFENCE AVIATION SAFETY FRAMEWORK
The aviation community have highlighted to DASA that the information provided in the newsbreak released on 06Aug2018 may be misinterpreted and have sought clarification from the Authority. The clarification is provided below.
The extension of Joint Directive 24/2016 through Joint Directive 04/2018 provides the legal basis for the Defence Aviation Safety Authority to continue to implement and administer the Defence Aviation Safety Program. This extension DOES NOT change the implementation timelines associated with the Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR).
