Type of Placements: Work Experience in an engine maintenance area
Duration of Placement: 4 days – operational dependant
Placement Limits: 1-2 students per placement (max)
Overview of Placement: Students will receive an insight into a wide range of jobs and functions of EBUS including engine module assembly, test procedures, engine maintenance and support under the close supervision of highly professional Defence personnel. Depending on operational demand, students may also have the opportunity to visit an operational Squadron and other units in LOGOPS.
Commencing at approx. 8:00am and finishing at 4:00pm each day.
Special Conditions of Placement: TThe placement is centered on the maintenance/mechanical environment and will be suited for students seeking to pursue a career in aircraft maintenance/engineering. Students who apply must demonstrate a desire for work in the Air Force.
NOTE: due to limited public transport to RAAF Edinburgh participants are advised to arrange drop-off and pick-up with their guardian/parents or school.
