| Overview of Placement: | MEOMS conducts maintenance on heavy vehicles, plant equipment, aircraft Ground Support Equipment and Aircraft Arrester Systems. This work experience opportunity would suit students who are considering an Air Force career in the trades of fitter & turner, vehicle mechanic, boiler maker etc. Students will have exposure to the different workshop trades and may be involved in general maintenance and trade assistant duties. Hours of placement are 7.30am to 4.30pm each day with an earlier finish time of 2.30pm on Friday. Students should bring their own lunch, or money to purchase it from the Frontline canteen. |
| Special Conditions of Placement: | Students must wear closed-in, protective footwear, suitable for a maintenance workshop. Applicants will need to be physically fit as they may be required to participate in PT (Physical Training) sessions. |
