Placement Limits: Maximum 3 students per placement
Overview of Placement: A program of mainly indoor activities providing participants with an insight into a wide range of Defence Scientific related activities. Commencing at approx 8.00am and finishing at 4.00pm each day, participants will have the opportunity to witness the diverse role of Army scientists and experience a series of activities under the close supervision of highly professional Defence personnel. Insights into tropical disease drug resistance and diagnostics, clinical studies, pharmacology and entomology in tropical and infectious diseases, and other specialisations are offered.
Special Conditions of Placement: Student who apply must display a desire for work in the Health Care field or have a defined tertiary career path in Health/Science or similar fields. Students who apply must have a current vaccination in Hepatitis B.
