Overview of Placement: 3CSSB provides combat service support to the 3rd Brigade and 102 Field Workshop is a sub-unit of the Battalion.

102 Fd Wksp Coy provides materiel maintenance to the 3rd Brigade, and as such is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles, weapon systems, power generation systems, radio communications systems, electronic sighting and target acquisition systems, medical and dental equipment, as well as the provision of vehicle recovery support.

Work experience opportunities are available in 102 Field Workshop, for students with a demonstrated interest in workshop trades within Defence and would suit students currently involved in Certificate level study in trades-based subjects.

Students should indicate their area of interest on the application form.

Work hours are approx 7.30am to 4.00pm each day.
Special Conditions of Placement: Applicants will need to be physically fit as they may be required to participate in unit PT (Physical Training) sessions on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Appropriate training shoes must be worn for PT (no skate shoes, volleys etc).

Students will need to wear steel-capped boots and clothing suitable to a workshop environment.
