Overview of Placement: 3 Combat Signal Regiment (3CSR) provides communications, information systems and electronic warfare support to the Army and the Australian Defence Force.

As part of this work experience placement, students will have the opportunity to observe and experience a range of roles and responsibilities across 3CSR including the set up and establishment of communications networks using satellite terminals, radios etc. Students will also gain an understanding of support functions such as transport, logistics and vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Students may also be involved in other activities including participation in Unit Physical Training (PT) sessions, visiting the Weapons Training Simulations System (WTSS), armoury, vehicle workshops and the Regiment's Museum.

Work hours are approx 7.30am to 4.00pm each day.
Special Conditions of Placement: Due to the very technical nature of communications and information systems, it is requested that only students with a keen interest in this field should apply.

Students should have a reasonable level of physical fitness as they may participate in unit PT each morning.
