Placement Limits: 2 placements per year

Overview of Placement: Physical Training Instructor's (PTI's) are responsible for the provision of physical conditioning and rehabilitation of ADF members. PTI's aid in the prevention of injuries, conduct physical training and fitness assessments of Australian Defence Force members,coodinate sporting events and other specialist activities.

As part of this placement, students will gain knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Air Force Physical Training Instructor.

Students will observe the function of the PTI through participation in PT classes, fitness testing, fitness programming,physio and general day to day operation required of the PTI.
Special Conditions of Placement: This placement would suit, but is not limited to, students involved in Certificate level courses in Fitness or Recreation.

Students will need to have a good level of fitness as they will participate in physical training activities on a daily basis.

This placement is targeted at students who are considering a career in the ADF.
