Type of Placements: Structured Learning Activities
Duration of Placement: 2 Days
Placement Limits: 2 Students
Overview of Placement: To provide the student with an introduction into Navy life and its values as well as potential opportunities available through the Royal Australian Navy, concentrating primarily on Mine Warfare.
Some of the fields are Marine Technician, Electronic Technician, Bosuns Mate, Physical Training Instructor and Combat Systems Operator Mine Warfare.
Placement will commence at 9.00am and finish at 3.00pm. All activities will be under strict supervision of trained military personnel.
Special Conditions of Placement: Must supply own thick woollen socks. Overalls and safety boots supplied. Students will require either $10 for lunch for canteen food each day of placement OR they can bring their own lunch.
