Overview of Placement:

HMAS Penguin Royal Australian Navy Diving School provides training for Navy Clearance Divers for their role as diving, demolition and explosive ordnance disposal personnel.

Work Experience students will observe and participate in the first three days of the Navy Clearance Divers Scuba Air course. Students may participate in lessons, both theoretical and practical, assist with equipment, participate in physical training and gain an insight into the Navy workplace. Students will not be diving, but may have the opportunity to observe diving, and take short trips on watercraft.

Students are required to attend for 3 days between the hours of 0800 and 1600. Students are responsible for their own transport to and from the base.
