Christmas closedown
- Woomera Prohibited Area Coordination Office
The office is closed from 12 pm AEDT Wednesday 24 December 2025 and will reopen from 8 am AEDT Monday 5 January 2026.
Permit and approved/escorted persons applications will not be assessed during this time, and routine requests for access will not be processed. All permit and approved/escorted persons applications need to be submitted by Friday 5 December 2025 for processing prior to closedown.
- Woomera Test Range Office
The office is closed from 11:30 am ACDT Friday 19 December 2025 and will reopen from 8 am ACDT Monday 5 January 2026.
For urgent access enquiries for exceptional circumstances only, that constitute a serious hazard to health, safety or the environment, can be directed to the Woomera Test Range duty officer on (08) 8674 3370.
All other access enquiries will be processed from Monday 5 January 2026.
Exclusion periods
Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA) zones are not accessible during exclusion periods. Refer to the WPA exclusion periods page for details.
