Joint Capability Coordination (JCC) Division is headed by a 2-star officer Air Vice-Marshal Neil Hart. JCC was formed in January 2009. Its mission is to coordinate the development of joint force capability. JCC Division works in the space between Headquarters Joint Operations Command which employs the joint force, and Capability Development Group which develops the joint force. JCC's role is to manage and coordinate this joint force capability.
Working with the Groups and Services, JCC also develops concepts, experimentation programs and joint projects for the future force. JCC has produced the Future Joint Operating Concept 2030.
This document proposes a concept of Australian military operations in 2030 in order to provide high level guidance for capability development as part of Defence's Strategy Framework and inform doctrine, education and training to support the preparation of the joint force.
