81mm Mortar
The 81mm Mortar was in United States service but the ammunition could also be used in the British 3inch Mortar.
Types of ammunition produced included:
- High Explosive (HE) light, [Shells were thick walled and produced considerable fragmentation],
- High Explosive (HE) heavy, [Shells had a high content of explosives and gave a considerable blast effect],
- Smoke (SMK),
- Smoke (WP),
- Practice, and
- Training.
