The 37mm was in United States service and was used with Tank, Anti- Tank, Anti-Aircraft, and Aircraft Guns.
Types of ammunition produced included:
- High Explosive (HE),
- High Explosive Base Detonated (HEBD) [Note - A very dangerous item, not even considered Bore Safe at time of use],
- Armour Piercing Capped (APC),
- Armour Piercing (AP),
- Canister, and
- Shot Target Practice (TP).
